Changing Company Culture, One Game at a Time

Any improvisation training or workshop can be customized for longer or shorter sessions, or for in-person or online work. In-person trainings are of course richer in experience and detail, and in some cases they’re essential (like Personal Boundaries trainings). We take pride in really getting to know you and your team, and the live atmosphere of in-person work helps a lot!

Our most popular trainings:

HiveMind!

We use a game-based approach to get a team of creatives, designers or collaborators playing cohesively together with listening skills, developing individual perspective, and a shared game-on attitude. Creating the space to support others’ ideas and take shared risks is imperative for collaborative creation, and it doesn’t have to be mysterious or fraught with competition. Instead, we make the group dynamic. It’s fun!

One hour per week for eight weeks, for groups up to 15.

Teambuilding Basics

Teambuilding is all about knowing, accepting, and supporting each other. The key techniques are always listening and responding in authentic, individual ways.

We start with game play to release spontaneity and navigate manageable chaos. Then we delve into the wisdom of both the individuals and the group to create new meanings and shared stories. The result are teams that know each other, support each other and are willing to take risks together — so when it’s time to get to work, they achieve together what they could never do alone.

These trainings are highly customizable for your team’s specific needs, and your company’s goals and culture.

Two hours, for groups up to 20.

Sales: the Game

Assessing the customers’ needs on the fly. Knowing how to tell your story and how your product works. And what to do when things go sideways…

This training focuses on relaxing, knowing your material inside and out, and understanding social cues to help your customer get what they need, when they need it.

Three hours, for groups up to 15.

Basic Business Workshop rates:

For one instructor (Nick Trotter), the basic rate is $500 per hour for up to 3 hours. Longer periods can lower the basic rate, depending on training topic and customization.

For groups of more than 20 participants, if additional instructors are needed, the rate is $300 per additional instructor, per hour, added to the basic fee.

A deposit of 50% is usually required for booking.

Workshops and trainings can be designed for up to 5 continuous hours per day (with beverage and lunch breaks, usually). Multi-day rates are customizable based on client need and subject matter.

These rates all assume that you have space to accommodate a stand-up, moving workshop; large conference rooms are usually sufficient, but it’s harder if they have large tables! We can of course take care of renting meeting or other spaces for additional fees dependent on space, time, and advance booking concerns.

We also offer private, individual coaching. Please contact me to discuss your goals.

We am happy to travel nationally or beyond; travel expenses and accommodations will factor into increased rates.

Small organizations, especially nonprofits, can expect certain discounts and installment payment options.

Please contact us to discuss your specific situation and needs. Nonprofit civic organizations (like libraries) can also expect discounts, especially for multiple workshops over multiple dates.
