Comedy Shows

Your conference, company gathering or other event needs a little nightlife. And our work EnCompasses that!

We can bring in a set format, like our Short-Form show or our immersive Murder Mystery games, a more thematically-based Long-Form show based on your company’s culture or to celebrate an individual or group. Our creatives can also customize a show to suit your particular needs. (We can even provide games for mix-and-mingle sessions, book standup comedians or other acts.)

Finally, we can package them with our other trainings for a comprehensive improv experience. So, what’s your game plan?

Ring of Fire

This is Short-Form improv, the super fun, game-based style of improv made famous by “Whose Line Is It, Anyway?” Four improvisers and a host take suggestions from the audience and play structured games that are always simply entertaining. Shows can be anywhere from a half-hour to two hours in length, and in any venue where the audience can focus their attention on a small stage or playing area without big distractions.

Its the perfect way to unwind after a day of meetings, for a cabaret-style evening with cocktails, or a family-friendly company barbecue.

Immersive, Interactive Murder Mysteries!

It’s our take on the classic cloak-and-dagger format, where someone is mysteriously (but comically) “killed” and the audience has to figure out whodunnit. With about an hour of playing time, and extra time for your sleuths to interrogate witnesses and suspects, it can be arranged around a dinner party, meeting or a custom event, and participants can compete as individual detectives or as groups.

Because it can be about group problem-solving, it’s great for team-building workshops, but it’s also just a killer piece of entertainment. Which would you choose? Choose carefully… lives are in the balance!

The Spiral

This is Long-Form, the theatrical style of improv practiced by groups like the Second City, iO and Upright Citizens’ Brigade. The shows are more like one-act plays or sketch comedy.

Our team of players can coach one of your favorite people into improvising a short monologue or Q & A onstage, and then improvise scenes that riff on the themes that arise. or we can lead our own discussion of a relevant (or irrelevant, or irreverent…) topic and develop comic scenes out of that. Shows can be anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes in length.

It’s perfect for a retirement party to celebrate someone’s career, to wrap up a creativity-coaching event, or just have some sophisticated fun!
